Therapy Services

Our therapy team is excited to offer speech-language, occupational, and physical therapies to children and adolescents ages 12-months old through 22-years old who attend Victory Ridge Academy.  Therapy services are offered during the child’s school day and include either medically necessary therapy or educationally-relevant services.

Educationally-relevant therapies are determined by each individual student’s needs outlined in his/her Individualized Education Program (IEP).  These therapies are provided in a small group and focus on skills that students need to be successful in a school setting.  Educational therapy is provided free-of-charge to families and are funded through the child’s IEP.

As mentioned above, Victory Ridge Academy offers medically necessary therapy services in addition to our educational therapies. Medically necessary therapies address the underlying medical reason for students’ struggles.  Medically necessary therapies are provided individually with the child and therapist working in a one-on-one setting. Medically necessary therapy is billed through your child’s insurance and may require a co-payment, as outlined in your specific insurance policy.  Medically necessary therapy requires a prescription for services from your child’s doctor, doctor’s signature on the therapy plan of care, and a well-check appointment with your child’s doctor every 6 months.
