Frequently Asked Questions

How do I enroll my child in the Academy?

VRA requires completion of an application to the school. The child must meet eligibility criteria based on scores from developmental assessment. If the child is younger than 3-years-old, they must be enrolled in the Early Steps program under an Individual Family Support Plan. If they are older than 3-years-old, they must have had or be scheduled to have a developmental assessment completed. This can be done through the Child Find program or we can do it onsite at VRA. If a child already has an active Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) they can be considered for enrollment.

For more information, please contact Admissions at 863-679-3338, Extension #7 or at [email protected].

How can my child receive therapy?

Your child’s physician should write a prescription for Physical, Occupational, Speech-Language, and Behavioral evaluations and treatment. If the child qualifies for these services, they will receive them during the school day. Educational services will be provided in a group setting; whereas medical services will be provided individually. Medical services will be billed to your child’s insurance.

For more information, please contact Dr. Erika Timpe, VRA’s Coordinator of Therapy Services at 863-679-3338, Extension #105 or at [email protected].

How much does it cost?

There is no cost for attendance. Victory Ridge Academy is a public charter school that receives funding in the same manner as traditional public schools.
